Light and Shadows

Anil says he can see the moon because the moon makes its own light, just like a bulb. His sister says the moon is more like a mirror. Who is right?

Raju says a red ball makes a red shadow and a blue ball a blue shadow, because a shadow takes the colour of the object. Is Raju right?

Ratu says if a room is completely dark, then after waiting a while our eyes will adjust and we will be able to see things even with no light at all. Is Ratu right?

A torch is left on behind a door. Neha says the light will bend around and reach the corner behind the door, lighting up a book kept there. Will light bend on its own to reach the corner?

Sohan says a thing that lets light pass through (like clear glass) never makes a shadow, and only things that block light do. A thin coloured plastic sheet puzzles him. Is Sohan's rule exactly right?

Looking in a mirror, Meeta says a mirror swaps left and right because that is just what mirrors do — turn left into right, but not top into bottom. Her brother says the story is a bit different. On this alone, is Meeta's reason surely right?
